Crown Prince of Brunei in World Pool Championship

Brunei prince

Crown Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah of Brunei will represent his country in the World Pool Championship 2006, which will be held in Manila, Philippines, in November 4-12. Though this is his first appearance at the WPC, it’s not his first international competition. He participated in last year’s SEA Games where he reached the semifinals in the 8-ball doubles competition.

The first match for His Royal Highness will be against Darren Appleton from England on Saturday, Nov 4. On Monday (Nov 6), His Royal Highness will meet another qualifier that has yet to be decided while on Tuesday (Nov 7), HRH’s match will be against the 10th seeded, Francisco Bustamante from the Philippines.

The champion will get $100,000, which the prince really doesn’t need. He’ll be there out of his own interest in the sport.
