Dutch Royals Go Nose to Nose with Maori
Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands are in New Zealand after visiting Australia.
Though the royal couple had a bit of a scare involving their plane while in Australia, their official trip was resumed without a hitch. They were warmly welcomed in New Zealand with a traditional nose-to-nose greeting from Maori tribesmen.

That’s not something we usually see from royals, huh? So cute…
Their Royal Highnesses also tried on some Maori cloaks at the Te Papa museum in Wellington. If ever the princess, who is due to give birth to their 3rd child in April, ever finds a need to hide her pregnancy, these cloaks will do a great job:

There are lots of fun experiences for the couple while in New Zealand, no doubt. But this is not their first time in the beautiful country:
The couple previously visited the beautiful island on their honeymoon and clearly share a love for the country. “We really take a big part of New Zealand with us and it will always be part of our life,” said the prince. The South Pacific country has strong ties with the Netherlands. It took its name from the southern Dutch province of Zeeland, after Dutch explorer Abel Tasman became the first European to discover it.
