Prince Charles and Camilla Get a Horse
Britain’s royal couple, Prince Charles and Camilla, have their first racing horse in training. The filly, named Royal Superlative by The Duchess of Cornwall, will be trained to race in 2008. Although Prince Charles is a regular at the Royal Ascot races, this will be his first venture into flat racing. His previous interest has mostly been thoroughbred jumping.

Joe Grimwades, manager of the Royal Studs, told Thoroughbred Owner & Breeder: “Royal Superlative is a lovely filly and we are thrilled to bits with her. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have been down to see her, and both were impressed. It is very exciting to have her here.”
