Prince Charles and Camilla to Visit the U.S.

This was announced today at The Prince of Wales’ official website:
Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Philadelphia and New York on a two day visit to the United States on 27th & 28th January 2007.
The main themes of the visit are youth development, urban regeneration and environmental conservation, and will enable Their Royal Highnesses to support initiatives which are tackling these issues and which have connections with the United Kingdom.
In New York, His Royal Highness will receive the Harvard Club’s Global Environmental Citizen Award from last year’s recipient, Al Gore. The Prince’s visit will emphasise the importance which the UK Government places on climate change as a key international.
The royal couple last visited the U.S. in November 2005. This month’s visit comes in advance of The Queen and Prince Philip’s own trip to the U.S. in May.
