The Duchess of Cornwall in Aberdeen

In her first official event of the year, The Duchess of Cornwall visited the University of Aberdeen to formally open a new medial research facility dedicated to finding cures for diseases such as osteoporosis and dementia.
The Duchess, who is President of the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS), toured the state-of-the-art building and saw the facilities, which included a £90,000 bone density scanner.
She met renowned researchers investigating a huge range of disorders including bone diseases, Alzheimer’s and dementia, urological cancers, respiratory problems, and sports-related injuries.
The visit to the new Health Sciences Building was postponed from earlier this month due to The Duchess being ill.
After the program in the university, Camilla visited the Hayfield Riding Center to mingle with children in the Riding for the Disadvantaged project.
