Prince William WRU

Prince William is becoming more active in performing royal duties. As Vice Royal Patron to the Welsh Rugby Union, he will asist The Queen who is the Patron of the WRU. His first official role in the WRU will be at the RBS Six Nations match between Wales and Ireland.

Prince William is keen to meet with representatives from all aspects of the Welsh Rugby Union at the Six Nations event. He will meet up with members of the team, some of whom he met while on the Lions tour to New Zealand. He will also meet volunteers and coaches from the community game, elite, young players, injured and former players, referees and supporters of Welsh rugby.

The role is the fourth that Prince William has taken on. He is already Patron of Centrepoint (charity for homeless people), Patron of the Tusk Trust (charity for conservation) and President of the Football Association.
