Norway’s Princess Astrid is 75
February 13, 2007 by Maricar Macalincag

Princess Astrid of Norway turned 75 yesterday, February 12. Born in 1932, the Princess is 5 years older than King Harald, who will turn 70 next week. Her birthday was celebrated with a formal dinner attended by family and friends.
Princess Astrid was once Norway’s first lady, after the death of her mother, then-Crown Princess Märtha, in 1954. She accompanied her father, then Crown Prince Olav, on his official trips. She performed these duties until Harald married Sonya in 1968. She has been active since then as a sponsor for several organizations.
Princess Astrid married department store owner Johan Martin Ferner, with whom she has 5 children.
