Prince William and Prince Harry’s Interview
I had just watched Matt Lauer interview of Prince William and Prince Harry. It is truly fascinating to watch these royal brothers on video, rather than just photos. Their personalities show through, which kept me glued to the TV.
Here are some of my thoughts as I watched the interview tonight:
* Prince William and Prince Harry are very close to each other, as brothers can be. Though they are seldom seen together in public, especially as they attend to their military careers, their strong bond shows in their regard for and comments about each other. After their mother’s death, Prince Harry said that they were able to cope because they “had each other”.
* Their love for their mother, Princess Diana, is one of the strongest influences in their lives.
* I thought I caught a glimpse of some longing for a more normal life. Prince William mentioned that being born into fame is much different from choosing it, and they realize that they cannot walk away from it.
* Both princes became guarded when questioned about their romances. It was the one topic when they did not freely give their thoughts. Prince William said that his private life is his own and no one else’s.
* Princess Diana has imparted a deep sense of humanitarian service into her sons. It is something that both princes are passionate about.
* Early in life, they observed just what the media pressure did to their mom. I’m not surprised if they both feel strongly about protecting the people they love from it as much as they can.

When will the interview be shown on msnbc again.
I missed it, but after reading some of the comments from the interview I am longing to see
it. Please advise.

in the interview it nearly made me cry, i was taken away by both prince’s as they expessed their longling to be normal. i really do feel for them and i hope in my life time i will be priviledged enough to meet them. they make me proud to be british and proud of my country. i wish them all the best and great happinessx

i truely believe that Prince William was given a choice to have a different life but he has chosen Kate Middleton and the baggage that comes with it. He made the decision to have the life he has now of being in the spot light for all the wrong reasons, unlike his mother who was often potrayed as being kind and gentle for most of her life at least. i am only 26 years and i do wish his mother was still alive. i believe she would have made a lot of things better, it would have been different. best of luck to The Prince of Wales and to the Royals.
