The Merry Royals in August ‘07
This is a little late, I know. I’ll try to be earlier next time. :)
British Royals
The biggest news for the British Royal Family was the Thanksgiving Service marking the 10th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana. It was a fitting tribute, with Prince Harry reminding us of the many wonderful qualities of the woman whom he called “the greatest mother in the world”. Most of the royal family were there, with the notable exception being The Duchess of Cornwall.
Engagement news and rumors were still among the highlights last month. Autumn Kelly and Peter Phillips showed off the ring and their matching outfits. Prince Harry and Chelsy were said to be (unofficially) engaged.
Kate Middleton has paid the price of a royal romance; she quit the Sisterhood just days before their rowing event. Kate got some negative press, but it seems to have been offset when she and Prince William went on a private holiday in romantic Seychelles.
Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy has to be rushed to the hospital for an appendectomy. She has since recovered fully from the operation.
Sarah Ferguson moved next door to ex-husband Prince Andrew, who last month visited Iskandar’s ‘crown jewel’. Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, won £10 as she comes second in a Scottish rose competition.
Spanish Royals
Spain’s royals went on vacation in Mallorca. While there, Queen Sofia spent time with her Grandkids and with Jordan’s Princess Alia. Meanwhile, it was reported that * Spain’s King Juan Carlos to be audited for the first time.

Jordan’s Queen Rania opened a baby-friendly hospital in Amman. In Jordan, the King’s Academy based on U.S. prep school was also launched.
Denmarks’ royal family had their vacation in Grasten Palace, where Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were seen fun casual day.
Japan’s Emperor Akihito received German Chancellor Merkel on an official visit. Meanwhile, his cousin Prince Tomohito revealed his alcohol problem, and its probable cause. Crown Prince Naruhito, Crown Princess Masako and Princess Aiko looked very well and happy in recent pics.
Thailand’s Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Princess Srirasm Prince attended Malaysia’s independence celebration.
The Dutch royal house was embarrassed by a Wikipedia editing that erased some unpleasant facts in their recent history.
Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi enjoyed some time at the beach.
Forbes’ released their list of the World’s Richest Royals.
