Chelsy Davy Breaks Up with Prince Harry
Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry have ended their 3-year relationship.
Though she moved to Englad to be closer to Prince Harry, it wasn’t enough to salvage their relationship. Chelsy Davy apparently had had enough of the cold weather in Leeds where she’s been studying, and Prince Harry’s “playboy lifestyle and lack of commitment to her”.
The relationship has been rocky in the past months. They had a quarrel within the first few days (hours, even) of Chelsy arriving in England. And they’ve had more since, according to reports. Moreover, Chelsy is unhappy with her law degree course and misses her close friends back home. Things have simply not worked out. In the end, she is packing her bags and going home to Cape Town sometime this week.
Friends of the couple are reportedly optimistic that the two will still work their relationship out and get back together, that this is just a “trial separation”.
This is just the latest frustration for Prince Harry. He has been disappointed in his desire to serve actively in the military. Sources say the prince is “terribly bored and frustrated”, and is “drowning his sorrows in drink” (source). There are fears that Prince Harry will become even more unhinged because of the breakup. He needs a stable relationship, and Chelsy has been really good for him. But he needs to straighten up his act and think about how his life is going, if he wants a chance to get her back.
