Celebrations for the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of The Queen and Prince Philip
November 19, 2007 by Maricar Macalincag

Tomorrow, November 20, is the 60th wedding anniversary of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. To celebrate, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a private family dinner last night at Clarence House.
Today, a service at Westminster Abbey gathered the Royal Family and other public figures to commemorate the event. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were married in the Abbey in 1947.

The royal couple returned to Broadlands, where they spent their honeymoon to take the following photo. Though Buckingham Palace has denied that the original honeymoon photo (second image below) was being recreated, the two images still bear a striking similarity.
