Zara Phillips Honored with MBE

Zara Phillips was awarded an MBE (Member, Order of the British Empire) by the her grandmother Queen Elizabeth for her services to equestrianism.
Zara is the first senior royal to be given the award.
At the time her accolade was announced: “It’s been the best 18 months of my sporting life. “I’m honoured I’ve been recognised for my achievements in equestrianism and pleased British Eventing nominated me.”
Eleventh in line to the throne, she became only the third rider in the sport’s history to hold World and European titles at the same time.
Her stepfather Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence (shown above) was also awarded, with a Companion of the Order of the Bath (Military Division).
