The Queen’s Christmas Broadcast on YouTube
December 26, 2007 by Maricar Macalincag
Queen Elizabeth has broadcast her Christmas speech this year on YouTube, in addition to the radio and TV. In her speech, The Queen focused on the importance of family and friends, offering a glimpse of her own family as they chatted and enjoyed each other’s company during a pictorial. She also talked of compassion, charity, and the sacrifice given by those who serve in the Armed Forces.
The Queen ended by quoting from a traditional Christmas carol service.
“‘Because this would most rejoice His heart, let us remember, in His name, the poor and the helpless, the cold, the hungry, and the oppressed; the sick and those who mourn, the lonely and the unloved”.
