Princess Mary to Get Military Training
Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary has joined the Danish Home Guard, where she will get basic military training. Included in her training will be how to use and care for a weapon, physical training, basic first aid, marching drills, signal training, fire-fighting and rescue skills.
Princess Mary is not the first woman in the Danish royal family to undergo military training. Queen Margrethe was in the Home Guard Women’s Flying Corps, while Princess Benedikte saw service in the naval arm of the Home Guard.
