Prince Harry Back in Britain
The British Ministry of Defense moved quickly to ensure the safety of Prince Harry. The soldier prince is now back at home, after a 10-week tour of active duty in Afghanistan.
He was met at the Brize Norton air base in Oxfordshire by Prince Charles and Prince William. He arrived on a troop carrier with more than 150 fellow soldiers.
“As you can imagine it’s obviously a great relief as far as I’m concerned to see him home in one piece,” Prince Charles said before leaving the air base. “I’m enormously proud of what he has done.”
Threats have been made against Prince Harry after his secret deployment was made public. It’s not the first time that a member of the British royal family have seen active combat. Prince Philip and Prince Andrew also served in the frontlines.
Though he is back home, we’ll probably not see much of Prince Harry anytime soon. He most probably will be keeping a low profile for a while.
I’m just very relieved that he is safe at home. Well done, Prince Harry!
