Behind the Palace Walls: Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s Virginia Visit
The Queen’s visit to the White House is featured on ABC’s documentary, “The Royal Family: Behind the Palace Walls“. Both President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush are shown talking about the preparations for the visit, which included a white-tie reception.
The preparations in Williamsburg, Virginia included installing a brand-new toilet seat in the inn where Queen Elizabeth stayed. I’m not sure why they showed that in the documentary, but they did!
Her warm welcome in Virginia is apparent in the applause and cheers as the crowds saw The Queen. She is very elegant-looking! She and Prince Philip, both horse-lovers were so keen on watching the Kentucky Derby. Some lucky attendees got a glimpse of the royal couple during the race.
