Royals of Monaco at the 2008 Monte Carlo Rose Ball
The royals of Monaco graced the 2008 Monte Carlo Rose Ball on March 29. Prince Albert II, Charlene Wittstock and Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the glitzy event at The Sporting Monaco in Monte Carlo. The theme was “La Movida”, the colorful movement that captured Spain in the 80s. Filmmaker Pedro Almodovar was guest of honor.
Prince Albert was impeccable in his classic tux. Charlene was elegant in an understated midnight blue gown.
Princess Caroline wore a black Chanel piece, paired with a pink rose-themed clutch. I don’t quite get the look of her outfit, but if it was funky she was after, it was funky she got. And it seems to be too high, and, er, too low at times.
Charlotte Casiraghi has a truly classic beauty. In her long black dress, which seems to be Chanel also, she looks like a lady from another century. (photos here, here, here)

They both look great, and Charlene’s dress is stunning.
