Royals at the New Opera House in Norway
The new Opera House in Oslo, Norway was opened last April 12, 2008, with a gala performance. The guests of honor were King Harald and Queen Sonja. Joining them at the black-tie event were a host of royalty and VIPs:
Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit
Denmark’s Queen Margrethe
Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria
Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg
Tarja Kaarina Halonen, President of Finland
Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of Iceland
Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany

More photos: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven (a very nice one of Princess Victoria), seven, eight
Queen Margrethe was in a deep purple gown with sheer sleeves and shoulders. Princess Victoria was stunningly simple in her long black skirt and black lacy top. I haven’t seen any photo of Mette-Marit without her coat (have you?).
