Denmark’s Prince Frederik and Princess Mary Visit Iceland
Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary arrived in Iceland on May 5, 2008 for an official visit. They were welcomed to Reykjavik by Iceland’s President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and his wife Dorrit Moussaieff.
On their first day, they visited Icelandic University and attended a mini-conference on volcanoes and glaciers. They also viewed artwork by local designers and artwork. Princess Mary will be bringing home Icelandic sweaters for her children.
The day ended with a gala dinner at the presidential residence, in honor of the guests.
A couple more photos here and here.
Here’s a (non-English) video of the royals’ arrival and their welcome by the President and First Lady.
