Kate Middleton at Nelson Mandela Celebration

Kate Middleton attended Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert at Hyde Park on June 27, 2008. The celebration raised money for Mandela’s 46664 AIDS charity, named after his number as a prisoner of 27 years in Robben Island. Among the stars who wished the former president of South Africa a happy birthday were Amy Winehouse, Sugababes, Leona Lewis, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Kate looked like she had fun with friends at the concert. She wore a black printed top over jeans and leather boots. She also had an event tag with “VIP guest”. Kate attended without her boyfriend Prince William, who is currently on the HMS Iron Duke in the Caribbean.
