Spain’s Royal Couple Witness Nadal’s Win at Wimbledon

Crown Prince Felipe and Crown Princess Letizia of Spain celebrated with their countryman Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon today. Nadal beat Roger Federer to claim his first championship at the All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon. The royal couple have been closely following his career, and today were able to watch his win.

After the match, Nadal climbed up to the royal box to be personally greeted by the prince and princess for his win. You’ll see the couple in this video cheering him (video is in Spanish). In a post-game interview, the new champion thanked the prince and princess for watching the tennis final.
