Spanish Crown Couple Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia were honored with the key to the city of Cuenca last September 11, 2008.

The Prince was granted the mayor’s distinction of honor during the visit, and received the Golden medal of the Meeting Confraternity of the Holy Week of Cuenca. During a tour of the city, the royals also viewed a monument in their honor.

It looks like the prince and princess thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the city. Cuenca is located in central Spain, about 160 km from Madrid. It is an ancient city that has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
