Celebrations for Prince Charles’ 60th Birthday

It’s a milestone birthday for Prince Charles.
On Friday, November 14, 2008, The Prince of Wales will turn 60, making him the longest-serving heir to the British throne.
There will be several events to mark the prince’s birthday this week.
- On Wednesday, Prince Charles and Camilla will be the guests of honor at a performance by Blackadder star Rowan Atkinson, Monty Python’s John Cleese and American comic and movie actor Robin Williams. Proceeds of this event will benefit the Prince’s Trust.
- On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth will host a concert and dinner at Buckingham Palace. Members of the British and European royal families will be in attendance.
- On Friday, Prince Charles and Camilla will spend time with inner-city youngsters to highlight the work of the Prince’s Trust.
- On Saturday, the Duchess of Cornwall will host a private party at Highgrove for 200 close friends. Rod Stewart will provide the entertainment.
