Prince Edward Makes Peace with his Dogs

January 5, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag

After featuring in a series of dog ‘cruelty’ photos last week, Britain’s Prince Edward went out once again with his black labradors and walking stick.

This time, however, there was none of the stick-raising that caused uproar from animal rights groups. Instead, the Earl of Wessex displayed affection toward the two dogs, who didn’t seem to have been at all affected by what happened during their previous outing.

‘It was as if he wanted to show that he was a proper animal lover because the photographs of him with his stick created such a bad impression,’ said an onlooker.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has reportedly launched an investigation into last week’s incident. Buckingham Palace has said that Prince Edward was simply trying to prevent the two dogs from fighting over the same pheasant.
