Prince William, Prince Harry to Get Private Office
January 5, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag
Slowly but surely, Prince William and Prince Harry are moving into roles as senior members of the British Royal Family. Part of this transition is establishing their own office, apart from the services provided by Clarence House.
Though the new office will be funded by Prince Charles through the Duchy of Cornwall, it will function as an independent unit with its own staff. The office will be based in St James’ Palace, which was Prince Charles’ base before his own move to Clarence House. Prince William and Prince Harry will also get their own letterhead, with their personal crests.
"It is part of the natural progression of William and Harry as senior members of the Royal Family. It is like their coming of age as it was for a young Princess Elizabeth and young Prince of Wales."
Though the two princes are not full-time working royals, they fulfill many public engagements on behalf of the royal family.
