The family of Spain’s Crown Prince Felipe had a pre-Christmas family outing today. Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia took their daughters, four-year-old Princess Leonor and two-year-old Princess Sofia, to the ‘Los cuentos favoritos de Mickey’ (‘Mickey’s Favorite Stories’).

The Disney Live! presentation features favorite Disney characters, including fairy-tale princesses Snow White, Belle and Cinderella. The show is being held at the Congress Palace in Madrid, Spain, until January 3, 2010.

Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia are just like any other little girls in the world, who love Disney characters. The only difference is that they don’t have to pretend at being princesses… they’re the real thing! I wonder if they met any of the Disney princesses.

Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia were casually dressed in jeans to watch the show. The young princesses, meanwhile, dressed up in matching coats, tights and shoes. Very cute!

Monaco’s Royal Family hosted the principality’s official Christmas ceremony at the Royal Palace in Monaco today.

Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie (L) played Santa’s elves to a group of Monagesque children, giving presents to all the kids who had attended. You might have to look closely at the photo above to see Santa Claus behind Prince Albert and Princess Caroline.

Princess Caroline’s daughter, Alexandra of Hanover, was also at the ceremony and helped with the gift-giving. Isn’t she cute in her slightly-too-big Santa hat? Photos in the gallery below!

Three royals that we see often working together on the same cause came together once again in Copenhagen, Denmark last week. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark attended the opening of the Bright Green Expo last December 12, 2009.

The three royals took the stage and talked with Adam Holm about the joint trip they took to Greenland and about climate change.

Spain’s King Juan Carlos and his family are hosting the visit this week of Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet and his wife Tran Thi Kim Chi.

King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia welcomed their visitors at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid today. A luncheon at the palace kicked off the three-day visit.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip kept up with the latest in popular entertainment at last Tuesday’s Royal Variety Show. The annual show brings together performances from the film and music industry. This year, it was held in Blackpool, England, the first time in the town since 1955.

Among this year’s Royal Variety performers were Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Buble, Katherine Jenkins, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga.

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were in Los Angeles last week for the U.S. premiere of the movie ‘The Young Victoria’. The showing was held at the Pacific Theaters.

Sarah Ferguson is one of the producers of the movie, along with Martin Scorsese, Graham King and Tim Headington. Princess Beatrice made her film debut as one of the ladies-in-waiting.

The royal movie that I’ve been waiting to arrive from across the pond is finally here! ‘The Young Victoria’, starring Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend, will be shown in selected theaters starting December 18, 2009.

The movie has been hailed as “utterly gorgeous” and “visually stunning”. If you’ve seen it in the U.K., you’re welcome to stoke our envy in the comments section (but don’t give too many spoilers!). Over here in the U.S., we got a taste of it with the photos and trailer that were available to us. But we only have to wait a few more days till we can see it on the big screen too!

Spain’s Crown Princess Letizia has been busy in the past weeks, attending award ceremonies, meetings and other events. The former journalist has worn a variety of styles, from trousers to combinations of short dresses, opaque tights and platform shoes. It’s all about the clothes and shoes today!

Above, the princess and her mum-in-law Queen Sofia attended the annual beneficial market of Nuevo Futuro (New Future) on November 23. This was a more informal visit, looking at the goods available from various merchants. Princess Letizia was in dark grey slim trousers, a grey top and a purple cardigan, and her Burberry Ruched Leather Lowry tote.
