May 30, 2008 by Maricar Macalincag

Danish TV aired the wedding of Prince Joachim to Marie Cavallier last weekend. For those of us who didn’t get a chance to see it live, videos are the next best thing!

This is the first part of the broadcast, showing the interior of Mogeltonder Church decked out for the wedding.

White lilies and roses dominated the floral arrangements inside the church. Traditional for weddings in Mogeltonder Church is the heart-shaped arrangement of roses inside of which the bride and groom sit. The floral arrangements were by Jan Munch, Munch & Levison.

Queen Margrethe II arrived in a stunning lovely pink gown, on the arm of her husband Prince Henrik. Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were a lovely couple, with the princess in a soft light blue gown with a multi-layered skirt. Princess Victoria was fresh and fabulous in a flowing tangerine outfit. Princess Mette-Marit was more subdued in her lavender off-the-shoulder gown.
