Prince Edward was not the only British royal at the Paralympic Games this past week. Peter and Autumn Phillips were also on hand to witness some of the events.

Among the events that the three royals watched were the equestrian individual championship test grade 1b on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. There’s a photo of Peter and Autumn here, where Peter seems to be explaining some aspect of the competition to his wife. The equestrian events were held in Hongkong, instead of Beijing, where the other events are.

This event is a natural draw for the British royal family. Queen Elizabeth’s passion for horses is well-known. Zara Phillips, Peter’s sister, is herself an accomplished equestrienne.
