Prince Harry presented the Woman’s Own Children of Courage Awards at London’s Westminster Abbey on December 10, 2008.

Woman’s Own Children of Courage Awards was started in 1973 to recognize the achievements of children who have shown “heroism, endured pain, suffering and disability, or devoted their young lives to caring for a family in need”. Children ages 5 through 14 are eligible for the awards.
The awards categories were: Outstanding Bravery, Sheer Courage, True Inspiration, Young Carer, Outstanding Achievement, Young Fundraiser, Local Hero, and Unsung Heroes.

Prince Harry cheered hard for England at the rugby match against South Africa last Saturday. Unfortunately, all the energy he could muster wasn’t enough to keep England afloat. They lost 42 to 6.
Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was beside him during the match. She probably couldn’t cheer too hard for South Africa. But one of the photos below show her looking satisfied enough, while Prince Harry covered his face with his hands.

Prince Harry Launches Khumbu Challenge

Prince Harry launched the Khumbu Challenge 09 yesterday, November 4, 2008, at the Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth.
The Khumbu Challenge 09 is an adventure challenge for British military personnel who have been wounded in battle. Participants to the expedition will aim to climb to Mt. Everest’s base camp.
The Ministry of Defence said places on the challenge will be offered to individuals injured in conflict to give them an opportunity to “enhance their rehabilitation programmes” and put them back in a military environment.
