The British royals, minus the younger set, got together on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009, for their traditional celebration at Windsor Castle’s Saint George’s Chapel.

Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex attended the morning services led by the Dean of Windsor, the Right Rev David Connor. There seemed to be a threat of rain that morning, but the royals came prepared!

Prince Charles and Camilla were reported to be in Scotland.

Video: Princess Anne in Australia

March 3, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag

Last week, Princess Anne represented Queen Elizabeth at the memorial for the victims of the fires in Australia. The national service was held at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on February 22, 2009.

The Princess Royal read a message from the Queen during the memorial service, which said in part:

"Although a little daunted, when faced with the scale of loss, and the physical and mental impact that these bushfires have made and are still making for Victoria, individuals and towns have responded with resilience, ingenuity, courage and selflessness to situations that were changing at terrifying speed”

The Queen and her family have expressed their condolences for the tragedy. They have also signed the official condolence book at Australia House in London.

Much is being made of the dress that Princess Anne wore to last weekend’s wedding between Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman. June 23, 2008 by Maricar Macalincag

Royal Ascot 2008 is one for the books, but we still get to enjoy the hats and fashion of Ladies Day. Founded in 1711 by Queen Ann, followers of the Ascot Races switch their focus from the race to the stands. As traditional for all the days of the race, Queen Elizabeth II arrived from Windsor Castle by horse drawn carriage. Joining her are several members of her family, decked out in their daytime best.
