Queen Elizabeth was very stylish in her blue and white combination. Here she is arriving with Prince Philip today, June 18, 2009:
2009 Royal Ascot Races Day 1
June 17, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag
It’s that time of the year when we get to see the gorgeous fashions at the Royal Ascot Races. The British royals are, of course, out in full force in their beautiful hats. Queen Elizabeth was especially sunny during Day 1 of the races.
The five-day racing event is sure to attract not just the horse fans, but also the fashion elite. This is a see-and-be-seen event, and is a chance to show off the most outrageous hats ever seen. Not for the royals, though. The royal ladies stick to more conventional, though equally lovely, toppers, while the men keep to their tophats.

Royal Fashion Friday: Polka Dots on Princess Beatrice
March 27, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag

Polka dots are hot again, and Princess Beatrice gets it in a big way.
The young princess donned this dotty blue dress at the Teenage Cancer Trust Concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall yesterday, March 26, 2009. Beatrice represented her mom, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, who is Patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
While I prefer tiny polka dots to big ones like these, I think Princess Beatrice pulled this one off. Despite the shiny giant circles, the blue-on-blue design of the dress kept it pretty simple. Cinching at the waist with a black band is very flattering for Princess Beatrice’s figure. Black heels and a blue clutch made for a very well put-together look. Nicely done, Princess Beatrice!

From left: Princess Beatrice, Sarah, the Duchess of York, and Princess Eugenie at the premiere of ‘The Young Victoria’ on March 3, 2009.
Stars and royals graced the premiere of the movie ‘The Young Victoria’ at the Odeon Theater in London last night. Princess Beatrice, who has a small role as a lady-in-waiting, Princess Eugenie and their mom, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, walked the red carpet. Only this red carpet was purple, in keeping with the royal theme.
The Duchess co-produced the film and, in fact, originated the idea of making a movie based on the romance of the young Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
The royals donned their red-carpet best for the event. Princess Beatrice wore a gown by Alice Temperley; Princess Eugenie wore Temperley London paired with Jimmy Choo shoes; and The Duchess of York’s dress was by Dame Vivienne Westwood.

Princess Beatrice after a party at the Cuckoo Club on January 22, 2009.
Even though she has exams her at Goldsmiths College, University of London to prepare for, Princess Beatrice took the time to take a break and celebrate at a birthday party for a cousin.
The princess attended the joint birthday celebrations at the Cuckoo Club for her cousin Ayesha Makim and her boyfriend Steve Wood. Princess Beatrice left the party scene at 1:15 a.m. on the morning of January 22, 2009. According to the Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice was “dazed and confused” and forgot that she had a driver and bodyguard with her. She apparently tried to hail a cab and her security detail had to direct her to her car.
Princess Eugenie was at the same party and left later than her sister. She emerged from the club at 2:45 a.m., looking just fine despite the late hour.

Princess Beatrice Loses Car to Thieves
January 8, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag
It’s not a good start to the year for Britain’s Princess Beatrice. The 20-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew got her car stolen while she and her bodyguard were in a shop in London.
Reports say that the keys have been left in the ignition, and that the princess was only in the shop for a few minutes. The black 1 Series BMW was a gift from Prince Andrew on Princess Beatrice’s 17th birthday. There were a few personal items in the car, but none of a ‘sensitive nature’.
It was only a few weeks ago that Princess Beatrice’s dog Max got lost. Max eventually returned home, after three weeks. Here’s hoping that Princess Beatrice’s car will similarly be found soon.
