Stars and royals graced the premiere of the movie ‘The Young Victoria’ at the Odeon Theater in London last night. Princess Beatrice, who has a small role as a lady-in-waiting, Princess Eugenie and their mom, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, walked the red carpet. Only this red carpet was purple, in keeping with the royal theme.

The Duchess co-produced the film and, in fact, originated the idea of making a movie based on the romance of the young Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

The royals donned their red-carpet best for the event. Princess Beatrice wore a gown by Alice Temperley; Princess Eugenie wore Temperley London paired with Jimmy Choo shoes; and The Duchess of York’s dress was by Dame Vivienne Westwood.

Princess Eugenie’s Dolce & Gabbana Tote

February 5, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag

I was only successful in identifying one of the bags that Princess Eugenie has been seen carrying on her late night club jaunts. And I had help from dcblam of the PurseForum.

The leopard print purse is a tote from the Animalier collection of Dolce & Gabbana. Here’s a look at that purse again, on Princess Eugenie.

We still don’t know about the purple fringe shoulder bag, so if you have any leads, feel free to chime in!

Royal Fashion Friday: Princess Eugenie’s Purple and Leopard Print Bags

January 30, 2009 by Maricar Macalincag

For those who love fashion, particularly royal fashion, be sure to drop by every Friday here at Merry Royals. I’m starting a regular feature called “Royal Fashion Friday”, where we’ll look at the clothes, the bags, the shoes and the accessories of the royal ladies (and occasionally, the men too!).

Today, we’re going a little casual and young. Britain’s Princess Eugenie has been seen at the party scene with two different bags. The first one is a leopard print tote, with enough room for all that a young party girl would need for a night out. The other piece is a purple fringe shoulder bag that the 18-year-old princess paired with an all-black ensemble.

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and her daughter Princess Eugenie had dinner at the Nobu restaurant in London on January 20, 2009.

After the pair emerged from the restaurant, they encountered a homeless man sitting by the curb. The Duchess took some time to talk to the man, before handing him some money. The ever-present photographers captured the charitable act.

Princess Beatrice, who is a student at Goldsmiths College, University of London, presumably wasn’t with her mom and sister because it’s exam time at her university.

Prince Andrew, Princess Eugenie Visit Quake-Hit Areas in China

November 6, 2008 by Maricar Macalincag

prince-andrew-princess-eugenie-china-250px-zumawirewestphotos568282-20081104-jabPrince Andrew, the Duke of York, has taken his daughter Princess Eugenie with him on an official visit to China this week.

Prince Andrew arrived in Shanghai on October 31, 2008, after a short visit to Mongolia. His visit has taken him to several provinces in China, including Hubei and Sichuan.

In his role as Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, the Duke of York has met with representatives of China-based British companies and offices, and Chinese government officials.

Princess Eugenie, 18, is on her gap year and is accompanying her father on this trip to gain experience in attending official royal engagements. She does not attend meetings with her father, but accompanies him to evening receptions. Prince Andrew also brought Princess Beatrice, then on her gap year, on an official trip to Egypt at the start of the year.
