Prince Henrik’s birthday celebration would not be complete without a lavish dinner. And so, the Danish royal family and their guests came together at Fredensborg Castle on the evening June 11, 2009 for the happy occasion.

Everyone was all smiles, and the gowns and dazzling tiaras were arrayed in all their glory.

Princess Marie, with Prince Joachim, also came in black and white. Hers was a flowing white dress under a short black jacket. Princess Mary was a head-turner in a simple but dazzling fuschia dress. Queen Margrethe chose a lovely blue dress for her husband’s concert celebration.
