Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima in Beijing
August 14, 2008 by Maricar Macalincag
Finally we see photos of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Crown Princess Maxima in Beijing. We know they’ve been there since the beginning. They’ve had a chance to watch their fellow Dutch compete in fencing, sailing and swimming (photo), among others. They were on hand to greet swimmer Van den Hoogenband
after his last Olympic race. Van den Hoogenband said:
“I think I will hug the Prince. He has always been a great fan of me.”
Royal Blog has several photos of the Dutch royal couple at the Olympics:

Finally we get a glimpse of Monaco’s Prince Albert at the Olympic Games in Beijing. As a member of the International Olympic Committee, the prince is there on an official capacity, and of course, as an avid sportsman and former Olympian.
Prince Albert attended the weightlifting event of these Summer Games, with his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock.

If there is one Olympic sport that Britain’s Princess Anne isn’t going to miss, it’s the Equestrian event. She was there as a member of the International Olympic Committee and also to support the British team as they competed in Beijing.

Spain’s Crown Prince Felipe and Crown Princess Letizia continue to make their presence felt at the Olympic Games in Beijing. They were spotted lending their support to the Spanish women’s basketball team at the preliminary game against Olympic host China. Spain lost that game to China, 64-67, which explains why Prince Felipe is looking rather worried in this photo.

She met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and his wife Liu Yongqing, along with about 80 world leaders, at a welcome banquet at the Great Hall of People on August 8, 2008.
